Get Involved: The Jikji Project Session 3
Casting physical researchers.
Attention actors/ performers/ creative types in Korea: Theatre Amoeba, is doing physical research for an upcoming storytelling project “Jikji (직지)” for the Jikji Festival in Cheongju, Korea (www.jikjifestival.com).
Theatre Amoeba is an international physical theatre project created in 2002. The Amoeba ambition is to create, educate and exchange through inter-cultural performances and rigorous workshops throughout the planet.
This is the third session of The Jikji Theatre Project. For this workshop and performance Amoeba is casting 10 dynamic performers willing to take risks and who have an interest in spreading the word about Dr. Park Byeongseon and exploring the physical drama, comedy and play of the Jikji. We will have two performances for this round. One at TEDx Cheongju )and the second at The Jikji Festival

We will rehearse 9.21 (11-5), 9.28 (11-5), 10.4 (TBA), 10.5 (10-5), 10.12 (11-5), 10.18 (TBA), 10.19 (10-6). A stipend will be provided (professional artist fee/ travel assistance) will be provided to those who qualify. This is a great opportunity to participate in an ongoing international/local collaboration.
Amoeba is also hunting for production volunteers and those interested in participating from behind the scenes. producer, translators (live and written), journalists, historians (researchers), photographers/videoraphers, social networkers- bloggers, twittering (is that a verb? etc. If you have the desire to get involved with this project- should send a short letter of introduction to email@example.com.
